Ingredients
- Pork: 500 grams, cut into pieces
- Posola (Banana Stem): 1 medium, finely chopped
- Onion: 2 medium, finely chopped
- Garlic: 4 cloves, minced
- Ginger: 1-inch piece, minced
- Green Chilies: 2-3, slit
- Turmeric Powder: 1/2 teaspoon
- Red Chili Powder: 1 teaspoon
- Coriander Powder: 1 teaspoon
- Cumin Powder: 1/2 teaspoon
- Garam Masala: 1/2 teaspoon
- Oil: 2 tablespoons
- Salt: to taste
- Water: as needed
- Fresh Coriander Leaves: for garnish
Instructions
Boil the Pork:
- In a large pot, add the pork pieces and enough water to cover them.
- Bring to a boil, then reduce heat and simmer until the pork is tender (about 30-40 minutes). Drain and set aside.
Cook the Pork and Posola:
- Heat oil in a large pan over medium heat.
- Add the chopped onions and cook until golden brown.
- Add the minced garlic, ginger, and green chilies. Sauté for a couple of minutes.
- Stir in turmeric powder, red chili powder, coriander powder, and cumin powder. Cook for 2-3 minutes.
- Add the boiled pork pieces and mix well. Cook for about 5 minutes.
- Add the finely chopped banana stem (posola) and mix everything thoroughly.
- Adjust salt to taste and cook for 15 minutes in medium heat.
- Sprinkle garam masala and mix well.
- Garnish with fresh coriander leaves.
- Serve:
- Serve hot with steamed rice.
